I will be among three other great speakers at a one-day event in Indianapolis on Saturday, July 11th. There’s a link to a conversation I had with Dan Hamilton (the organizer) below, along with a summary of the topics below.

DETAILS:
The speakers and topics are –
- William O’Flaherty: “Hiding in Plain Sight: Discoveries from C. S. Lewis, Blurbologist”
- Charlie W. Starr: “The Screwtape Antidote: Solving an Old Mystery”
- Paul Michelson: “The Invisible Inkling: That Other Lewis Brother, Warren Hamilton Lewis”
- Dan Hamilton: “Worlds in Collision: The Place of the Lion” (This 1931 novel by Charles Williams was deeply appreciated by C. S. Lewis and his friends, and directly precipitated the deep friendship between Lewis and Williams. We recommend that the book be read before the Conference, as familiarity with the dazzling but confusing material will greatly help in following this “deep dive” into the book. It is widely available in multiple formats.)
Other special events are planned.
- Bring your used and spare Inklings books for sale or swap at our book table. The speakers will be selling and autographing their books throughout the day.
- This year’s venue will be the Chapel Rock Christian Church, 2020 N. Girls School Road, Indianapolis, IN 46214. This is on the outer west side of Indianapolis, and can be reached easily from I-465; maps will be provided later.
- Advance registration is open until June 30th. Late registrants and walk-ins are welcomed, but will not be guaranteed a catered lunch or our traditional souvenir mug. (There are restaurants near the venue.) Please register by contacting us at our e-mail address: cslewis.indy@gmail.com. (Any dietary restrictions should be noted at registration.)
- This year they are offering a half-off discount to high school and college students. Today’s learners are tomorrow’s scholars.
