The following information is a list of upcoming events or books related to Lewis. It serves as a companion to the series of YouTube videos called “The Latest on C.S. Lewis.” It is different in that THIS page will list announcements as I receive them and they may or may not make it on the show itself. Check out the YouTube show playlist -HERE-.

2. MY JOURNEY: with C.S. Lewis & Other Companions by Will Vaus was Recently Released

This is the story of a spiritual journey with C. S. Lewis and other literary companions, a memoir of a life of reading. Drawing from many years of journal-writing, Vaus recalls influential people, books, conversations, and travels from his childhood years to the present. Never a dry discourse of lessons learned, but a vivid engagement where readers will feel they are invisible participants. Vaus’ pastoral and writing ministry has taken him to many parts of the United States and the world. C. S. Lewis enthusiasts will particularly enjoy descriptions of many visits to Lewis landmarks in the British Isles and the year Vaus and his family spent in Ireland with Merrie and Douglas Gresham (Lewis’ stepson).

2. New Issue of BROADCAST TALKS Released by C.S. Lewis Institute

Broadcast Talks presents ideas to cultivate Christ-like thinking and living. This issue is adapted from a talk How to Pray for Others Who Are Suffering, with Nancy Guthrie.

1. Walter Hooper tribute (December 7, 2022)

The Marion E. Wade Center at Wheaton College will host a Zoom gathering to honor Walter Hooper  on the second anniversary of his passing, December 7, at 1 pm Central Time, 2 pm Eastern time. They will have a panel of 6-8 people sharing memories, including James Como, Michael Ward, Walter’s brother David Hooper, and others. If time allows, they will invite listeners to share their own memories or questions. Plans are to  post their Zoomcast on the Wade website eventually.

If you would like to attend this event via Zoom,  please send your email address to wade (at) wheaton.edu. They will send out Zoom invitations for the event about 24 hours in advance.

2. Christmas Season at The Kilns: A Live Online Tour of C.S. Lewis’ Home (December 10, 2022)

This is a special live online tour of “The Kilns”. The Kilns was C.S. Lewis’s beloved home for over thirty years before his death in 1963. It is owned and operated by the C.S. Lewis Foundation as the C.S. Lewis Study Centre at The Kilns, a place for scholarship and pilgrimage. Sat, Dec 10, 2022; 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM Pacific Standard Time. Ticket Price $10.00.
