[PODCAST] The Making of C.S. Lewis, pt. 1 (Dr. Hal Poe)

Dr. Harry Lee Poe (“Hal” to his friends) is back as a guest on the podcast to tell about his new (for 2021) book, The Making of C.S. Lewis (1918–1945): From Atheist to Apologist. This is the first of a two-part show about that title. Previously, Hal released Becoming C.S. Lewis, a book that covered the first twenty years of his life. The Making of C.S. Lewis explores what was happening in Lewis’ life from the end of WWI to the end of WWII. As the subtitle notes, Lewis was an atheist at the start of this period and less than thirty years later was famous for his defense of Christianity. Of course, a lot happened between those years, including Lewis giving up being a poet, the start of his teaching at Oxford, and publishing several fictional works.
