The Screwtape Letters is one of many great books by C.S. Lewis. As the publication of my book about it draws near I’m sharing a fact about it each day.  

The only letter we have of Lewis commenting on
James Forsyth’s Screwtape is to his publisher,
Jocelyn Gibb (February 9, 1962). In it he notes
that it is “an ordinary play” that merely has
“devils who aren’t much more than commentators.”
