Lewis is recognized as a top notched writer in several areas, but if you are only a casual admirer of his work you might not be familiar with The Abolition of Man that was published before the end of World War II.
In the early 40’s C.S. Lewis did a series of famous broadcasts that eventually became the book Mere Christianity. At the very beginning of that book he dealt with natural law, the idea there is some agreed upon standard of moral behavior.
In The Abolition of Man, which is actually three short essays he first gave as lectures in 1943, Lewis defends the existence of an objective moral code without presenting any overt Christian content. He explains the logical conclusion of letting subjectivism rule will result in humankind being abolished.
